Victoria Square Fountain

The Victoria Square Fountain was designed by the artist John Dowie and was named The Three Rivers Fountain.
The Three Rivers Fountain represents the three rivers which supplies Adelaide most of its water. (the Torrens, the Murray and the Onkaparinga)

The fountain was erected to commemorate the visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to the City of Adelaide in February 1963.
The fountain was set in operation by His Royal Highness The Duke Of Edinburgh 28th May 1968.
