The Tower Mill At Quainton

The historic Quainton Windmill was built 1830 to 1832 by James Anstiss and is still owned by the Anstiss family. It was the tallest windmill in Buckinghamshire. (72 foot or 20 metres tall)
Milling ended in 1900 and remained derelict as a mill untll 1974 when restoration work started by the Quainton Windmill Society taking 23 years (1997 milling was re-established).The stoneground flour produced from the Mill can be purchased either at the Mill or at certain local village stores.
