The Tower of London is one of the must see Attractions when visiting London. This Historic castle is situated on the north bank of the River Thames in central London.
The Tower of London was also known as Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress.
The Tower of London has had a distinguished role in the shaping of English History.
The White Tower was built by William the Conqueror in 1078. This gave the castle its name.
The whole castle area was expanded over a period of time, by King Richard the Lionheart, Henry 111, and Edward 1 in the 12th and 13th centuries.
